Galatians 2:20 (NLT)
I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. So I live my life in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
As I read this passage the other day, I had to stop and ask myself the question, "how much of me looks like Christ?" If I, Tim, no longer live but Christ lives in me, why do I act so much like Tim?
This has been on my mind ever since I read this. Of course, I have heard it talked about, preached about, I've read it before, but this time was different.
I tend to like myself a whole lot more when I reflect Jesus than when I reflect Tim. This has challenged my thinking, my acting, my doing.
So, on Saturday I took my boys to the skate park and thought how could we minister to the kids at the park. So I took a jug of water, an ice chest, and cups and we headed off for the park. As a result, I met Frankie(8 years old) and Micah. Two kids who were thirsty after a couple hours of skating. They were more than happy to recieve ice water instead of drinking warm water from the fountain.
As you and I die to ourselves and make Jesus famous in our hearts the world will see who He is and give Him the glory He deserves.

Nice thoughts, Tim. Had not thought about the verse this way. And I definitely agree that it's a good idea to think proactively of ways to show Jesus in our lives.
This also makes me think about James 1:24. "You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like." Not only do we forget what we see in the mirror, our true self... I think many times we see a different, better image of ourselves. We can go around thinking we are doing good and feeling all puffed up and good about ourselves. But, what do others see? Do they see me, or do they see Jesus in me? Do they see "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Gal 5:22-23)"? I definitely could DO more and SHOW more fruits of the spirit.
